hello guys! so today, I would be delighted to share with you about some of my travelling tips. On my first time travelling, I didn’t know much about travelling so, I just went on with it. I always travel with my family, so all I did was observing them whenever they’re planning for a trip. But let’s be realistic, we can’t rely on our parents forever can we? Somehow, we have to learn to do things ourself independently. Travelling with my own big family has always been a bucket list for me. I’d love to bring my parents somewhere when I’m old enough. Alright enough with all the talks, lets goo~
Tips number #1: Always plan your trips beforehand.
Nowadays, there are so many ways you can check out the place you’re going to visit before actually going there. The internet. Yes, the internet provides us so many information about your destination. Just google up your travel destination and BOOM! Thousands of pages will be displayed in less than 1s. (Unless your internet is shitty.) Well, from there, you can inquire about the tourist spots, maps, accomodations, halal restaurants and transport. To make it easier, you should print out the map so that you can like, plan your journey carefully. You can even access all these informations through your smartphone! These apps are really good for travellers:
'Tripadvisor' can show you all the landmarks and attractions at your destination. |
'Busuu' can teach you simple foreign words to make your journey easier |
In case you're lost, you can always navigate your way using 'Google Maps' |
Don't worry of getting lost as most developing countries already have 'Uber' and 'Grab' available!
If there’s a metro system there and you’re planning on riding them, do search for metro maps. (For example, in Moscow theres an app called ‘Yandex Metro’)

So, do download them before continuing on your adventure!
Tips number #2: Cutting budgets on flight tickets.
Yes, travelling is fun, but sometimes it can be worrying when you spend more than your allocated budget, right? My tips on budget travelling are:
Book your tickets early! Because the tickets price will skyrocket if you book them on the last minute. Furthermore, fight tickets allocate the most budget, so it will be worth it if you take your time and book them early.
If you’re planning on travelling from one state to another, do look for all the transportation methods available(Bus, flight, boat). Because sometimes, travelling by local flight is much more worth it than travelling by bus, and of course domestic flights will be cheaper than international flights.
Tips number #3: Food expenses.
If you’re planning on cutting your budget on food, look for cheapest restaurant available there. It will save you a lot of money. For example, fast food restaurants like McDonald’s is internationally fixed in terms of pricing. So, if you can’t find cheap restaurants, fast food restaurants is always the best options as they are available almost everywhere.
Tips number #4: Memories.
We all love souvenirs, don’t we? Souvenirs are great memorial items which will remind you of the place where you’ve been travelling before. Every state has its own souvenir hotspot, so do check them out as it will be cheaper buying them there. And make sure you buy them in bulk.
Tips number #5: Accomodation.
Accomodation can sometimes be a hassle, especially during holidays. Most of the cheap hotels are fully booked. There are a few alternatives other than hotels which you can look into. For example, hostels are cheaper and quite decent if you ask me. But you have to survey each of them first before staying there because some of them requires you to share rooms with other travellers and honestly, it wouldnt be really comfortable for us muslim women, right? Especially when they do not separate male and female rooms. Have you ever heard of ‘Couchsurfing’? It’s a term used by travellers where you can find a ‘host’ who’s willing to accommodate you at their house during your stay. The best part is, it’s FREE! Just download the app ‘Couchsurfing’ in the appstore.
Some hostels offer really good accomodations for travellers |
That’s probably everything that I can offer you on travelling tips. Make sure you eat healthily and get a really good sleep during the night so that you’ll be refreshed and energetic to move about on the next day! Have an extraordinary journey on your adventure!
