Guangzhou, China

Hello everyone this time I really need to share with you guys about Guangzhou China. As you guys know China is very famous with their manufacture goods because most of the things in the world are made from China. So ya it is true that China is a heaven of shopping for all those shopping lovers like me. So without further a due let's get started.

The story begins as me and my family flew over to Guangzhou China during the school holiday in May 2017. As we arrived there the first place we visit is the famous Canton Tower. Canton Tower is the tallest building in Guangzhou approximately 604 meter tall. It is located at the heart of Guangzhou city. In the tower it is located the world's highest rotating restaurant at 424 meters, serving international buffet. During our visit there it is Summer and the weather is burning hot!
So make sure if you are planning to visit some places during summer remember to always keep yourself hydrated. Okay enough with the pep talk let's continue, next we proceed to have lunch at some Arab restaurant. Next we visited the Yuexiu Park where it is located the statue of 5 Rams. History tells that a long time ago , the city was a barren land with people who despite hard work were suffering from drought . One day five immortals in five-color garments came riding on five rams, playing their legendary music. The rams held sheaves of rice in their mouths. The immortals left the sheaves of rice for the local people, gave blessings to the city and left. The rams turned into stone and the city became a rich and popular place. Guangzhou got the name of the City of Rams and the City of Ears. After finished visiting all those historical places we went to the shopping street or they called it Beijing Lu, Lu is road in Chinese, that is the most excited place to visit! We shopped there before finally check in into our hotel.

here's a picture of me in front of the Ram Statue in Yuexiu Park and Canton Tower

On the second day we went on a day trip to Shenzen, China. The journey from Guangzhou to Shenzen took about 2 hours by bus. In Shenzen we visited a jade show room, souvenir shop ,Chinese tea factory and shopping malls. We got the chance to taste the original Chinese tea or they call it Cha', it taste healthy though. Basically the whole trip was specially made for us to spend our Renminbi (China currency) and shop till you drop! After dinner we head back to our hotel in Guangzhou.

On our third day there we got the chance to visit the tomb of late Saad Ibni Abi Waqqas who is our Prophet Muhammad SAW friend. He is the first person who introduced Islam in China in the early Tang Dynasty. We performed our Zuhur and Asar prayer at the mosque located in the area of the tomb. We are very lucky to get the chance to visit a Muslim Hero tomb in Guangzhou China.

The next day was our last day in Guangzhou so we went to visit another Jade show room and then have lunch and head to the airport to catch our flight back to Malaysia. We have a great time in China because we got to shop a lot and visit a lot of place. So I would like to rate Guangzhou with 10/10.

this is my travel log when I'm in Guangzhou

Playing tourist

Hello guys so today i would like to share with you my experience being a tourist in our own country Malaysia. Yes, our beloved Malaysia and the place is no other than Kuala Lumpur!. Before this I always tell you how other countries are amazing and many more little did you know our country are just awesome like the others. so let's get started!

Last year I went to a field trip organized by our senior SOC group to Kuala Lumpur. The main purpose there is to watch a play entitled Kandang in Kuala Lumpur performing arts centre (KLPAC). but the play was in the evening so we spent some time before the show to discover Kuala Lumpur.
The first place we visited is the Central Market. That is the first time I visited the Central Market and I was amazed by it. The unique design of architecture in it are beautiful. It really shows the characteristic of Malaysia Culture but honestly the goods there are quiet pricey maybe the price is quiet high because it targeted for the tourist.

The next place we visited is the National Mosque or known as Masjid Negara. We performed our zohor and asar prayer there in Masjid Negara before proceed to the next tourist attraction which is Kuala Lumpur City Gallery that is located near from the Sultan Abdul Samad building. It is a strategic location because it is located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur. we also got the chance to visit the National Textile Museum. Honestly that day I feel so proud that actually Malaysia have a lot of things. Just like the slogan Malaysia Boleh! We enjoy our time ther and took a lot of pictures to be kept as a memory.

me and my friend at KLPAC

Later in the evening we went to KLPAC to watch the play and it was great. It is full with moral that it is shown during their performance. After the play ended we went back to Kuantan. Even though it is exhausting but it was fun. That is the first I felt different going to Kuala Lumpur because before I only went there to visit shopping mall but that experience really broaden my views about our country.  So there you go my experiences playing tourist in Kuala Lumpur.

Travelling tips

hello guys! so today, I would be delighted to share with you about some of my travelling tips. On my first time travelling, I didn’t know much about travelling so, I just went on with it. I always travel with my family, so all I did was observing them whenever they’re planning for a trip. But let’s be realistic, we can’t rely on our parents forever can we? Somehow, we have to learn to do things ourself independently. Travelling with my own big family has always been a bucket list for me. I’d love to bring my parents somewhere when I’m old enough. Alright enough with all the talks, lets goo~

Tips number #1: Always plan your trips beforehand.
Nowadays, there are so many ways you can check out the place you’re going to visit before actually going there. The internet. Yes, the internet provides us so many information about your destination. Just google up your travel destination and BOOM! Thousands of pages will be displayed in less than 1s. (Unless your internet is shitty.) Well, from there, you can inquire about the tourist spots, maps, accomodations, halal restaurants and transport. To make it easier, you should print out the map so that you can like, plan your journey carefully. You can even access all these informations through your smartphone! These apps are really good for travellers:

'Tripadvisor' can show you all the landmarks and attractions at your destination.
'Busuu' can teach you simple foreign words to make your journey easier

In case you're lost, you can always navigate your way using 'Google Maps'
Don't worry of getting lost as most developing countries already have 'Uber' and 'Grab' available!

If there’s a metro system there and you’re planning on riding them, do search for metro maps. (For example, in Moscow theres an app called ‘Yandex Metro’)
Moscow metro map

So, do download them before continuing on your adventure!

Tips number #2: Cutting budgets on flight tickets.
Yes, travelling is fun, but sometimes it can be worrying when you spend more than your allocated budget, right? My tips on budget travelling are:
Book your tickets early! Because the tickets price will skyrocket if you book them on the last minute. Furthermore, fight tickets allocate the most budget, so it will be worth it if you take your time and book them early.
If you’re planning on travelling from one state to another, do look for all the transportation methods available(Bus, flight, boat). Because sometimes, travelling by local flight is much more worth it than travelling by bus, and of course domestic flights will be cheaper than international flights.

Tips number #3: Food expenses.
If you’re planning on cutting your budget on food, look for cheapest restaurant available there. It will save you a lot of money. For example, fast food restaurants like McDonald’s is internationally fixed in terms of pricing. So, if you can’t find cheap restaurants, fast food restaurants is always the best options as they are available almost everywhere.

Tips number #4: Memories.
We all love souvenirs, don’t we? Souvenirs are great memorial items which will remind you of the place where you’ve been travelling before. Every state has its own souvenir hotspot, so do check them out as it will be cheaper buying them there. And make sure you buy them in bulk.

Tips number #5: Accomodation.
Accomodation can sometimes be a hassle, especially during holidays. Most of the cheap hotels are fully booked. There are a few alternatives other than hotels which you can look into. For example, hostels are cheaper and quite decent if you ask me. But you have to survey each of them first before staying there because some of them requires you to share rooms with other travellers and honestly, it wouldnt be really comfortable for us muslim women, right? Especially when they do not separate male and female rooms. Have you ever heard of ‘Couchsurfing’? It’s a term used by travellers where you can find a ‘host’ who’s willing to accommodate you at their house during your stay. The best part is, it’s FREE! Just download the app ‘Couchsurfing’ in the appstore.

Some hostels offer really good accomodations for travellers

That’s probably everything that I can offer you on travelling tips. Make sure you eat healthily and get a really good sleep during the night so that you’ll be refreshed and energetic to move about on the next day! Have an extraordinary journey on your adventure!

Moscow, Russia

Hello~! Did you guys miss me? I hope you do hahaha just kidding. No one misses me anyway :)
So in this entry, I wanna tell you guys about my amazing adventure in Moscow, Russia. I went to this country a few years back when I was in form 5 with my whole family. We actually went there because my dad had a company vacation with his colleagues. I can’t remember the exact date but it was around December when we went there (During our school holiday). Without further ado, let’s get right to it!

It costed around +-RM3000 for a round trip from Malaysia (KLIA, KUL) - Moscow (Domodedovo, DME). The one-way trip usually took around 17 hours and believe it or not, I spent half of that time watching my favorite Disney movies~ The in-flight entertainment offered us a lot of things including movie streaming, moderate-quality games (Multiplayer and single ofc), music and we can also watch the view outside without looking at the window by tapping on the in-flight camera.

When we arrived at DME, the place was crowded but luckily our tour guide carried something like a flag to make sure we didn’t get lost. The atmosphere was different from Malaysia. I can’t understand anything they said because they were speaking in russian language. Most Russians cant speak English #Fact. But most of the youngsters can. So when we exit through the automatic gate, it was freezing cold. IT WAS WINTER THAT TIME! AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SNOW! (Or so I thought). It wasnt that great after being in the -20 temperature for 15 minutes. I couldnt even feel my limbs! We boarded the bus, which brought us to our hotel. We were exhausted that time (Probably jet-lag), so we rested for a while before going to dinner. The dinner was nice, we had Russian Plov, it’s basically an oily nasi goreng in my opinion, but it kinda tasted good. After dinner, the tour guide briefed us for our journey tomorrow. We had the whole day to sight-seeing, I was excited at first, before I realized it's gonna be really tiring for us. I mean, my sleep time isnt gonna be that long, who wouldnt be sad about it?

The next day, we started our journey at around 8am in the morning. Our first destination was none other than the famous ‘Red Square’. It’s called ‘Krasnaya Ploshad’ in Russian. It’s literal meaning was ofc Red Square, but the locals there interpret it as the ‘Beautiful Square’ because the word ‘red’ and ‘beautiful’ in Russian actually rhymes well. There were so many attractions in Red Square. First, it’s where the famous president of Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin works! He works on the right side of Red Square, called Kremlin. In front of it, theres a mausoleum where they preserved the most respected Russian leader of all time, Lenin. I didn’t get to enter because the line was too long. On the left side, theres the oldest shopping mall in Russia, it’s called GUM (государственный универсальныйи магазин). The mall sold top-rated items, from smartphones to handbags and suits. I cant even imagine myself shopping there because they are really EXPENSIVE, like hella expensive. And finally, the most famous tourist spot there - The ‘St. Basil Cathedral’. It was so beautiful, I cant describe it with just mere words. The vivid colours painted on the walls, the architecture, the landscape, the large statue in front it- they really impressed me. We spent the whole day exploring red square, the places around it and the history behind them.

Kremlin

On our second day, we were brought to a shopping mall called ‘European mall’. The mall was beautifully structured. There are emporiums which indicates each of the main european country - some of them were London and Paris. But the most impressive thing in the mall is ofc the shops! They actually had winter sale that time so we bought a lot of things there. On the top floor, there’s a food court where we Muslims can only eat at 1 restaurant because the rest were not halal. We had our fill there before moving on to the next destination.

European mall

At night, the tour went on although we were exhausted from shopping all day. We went to the most magical place I’ve ever seen. That place was called ‘Arbat Street’. Blinking lights everywhere, it’s as if you’re in a wonderland. Arbat street is the place where you should take your girlfriend’s picture if you’re going there with her because that place can change someone ugly to be a model. The pictures there were so beautiful. Variety colour of lights lightened up the place, turning everyone to be really photogenic. We had our amazing time there exploring the place and somehow ended up at a Starbucks, because what’s better than having iced coffee with a beautiful scenery right? We went back to our hotel at 12am and had the most peaceful and relaxing sleep throughout the night.

There’s nothing much on our last day, it was the day we left this beautiful country and going back to reality. We had a really good time there, visiting beautiful landmarks and churches, while watching beautiful sceneries along the way. It was truly an experience I could never forget.

Sawadeekap Bangkok

This time I will share to you about my Bangkok journey!!! Bangkok is a must place for you to visit someday.😃 so let's get started...

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand and it is a really big country. Before this I only went to the small provinces in Thailand like Phuket and Hatyai but this time I wanted to discover Bangkok. on 17th February 2018, Me and my family departed from KLIA to Donmueng International Airport. We were there for 3 days and 2 nights. It is just a short getaway for us because my father was busy and he only had like a few days off.
The first place we visited in Bangkok was the Safari World Bangkok. It is kind of similar to what we had in Malaysia which is Zoo Negara. We spent half a day there watching the animals and shows. After that, we proceeded to a shopping mall because for my family, Shopping is a must!! Then we proceeded back to our hotel and finally get some rest after a day tour and shopping spree.

On the second day, we went to a lot of places because this is the only day left for us to discover Bangkok. Early in the morning we went on a long tail boat ride across the Menam Chao Phraya and then after that we went to the wax museum Madame Tussaud Bangkok, Siam Paragon and Siam Square. I was amazed by the city itself, there were so many people, vehicles but they still can live in a very organized manner.

Honestly for me when I travel to places and other different countries, I am really amazed by each of the country cultures. I wish I can visit Bangkok again next time because the last time was too short for me :(
here's a picture of me in front of Siam Paragon

TRAIN TO HATYAI

Hello everyone tonight i'm going to share with you guys my very first experience travelling by train to Hatyai, Thailand. Yes by train! Seriously?? As you guys know, we can go to Hatyai by car, bus, train and also airplane but this time I went there by train TADAA.

My journey began with me, my mother and her few other friends gathered at KL Central because we were going to take the ETS train to Padang Besar. By 11pm we boarded the train and at that moment I was so ready to sleep... but the train suddenly stopped one hour after the train departed from KL central..... At that moment I was still up and suddenly the conductor of the train said that he accidentally hit someone. What?? So the train stopped and we were stranded there for like an hour before continuing our journey to Padang Besar. It feelt like I'm was in some horror movie, I felt like crying that time :(. At 6.30am in the morning, we arrived at Padang Besar and then we need to cross the border of Malaysia-Thailand  and then take a bus to Hatyai. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes for us to reach Hatyai from the border.

After we arrived in Hatyai, the first thing we did was going to a Halal Thai restaurant for breakfast and WOW I was very surprised at that time looking at all those Thailand dishes they look so..... colorful because my stomach isn't the type of strong stomach so I decided to just have some rice and meat soup for that morning. I was too tired by the train ride last night plus the feeling of anxious and traumatized by the tragedy that happened during our journey. Then, after having breakfast we proceeded to the souvenir shop, some Thailand food factory, and bee farm.  After visiting all those places, we finally got the chance to check-in to our hotel. The hotel was awesome because it is located at the center of the town. There are many small shops, massage spa and most importantly food stalls and surprisingly there were many Halal food stalls.

The next day, we continued our journey in Hatyai and we also got the chance to visit Songhkla beach. Honestly Thailand serves you the best scenery and the food in Thailand are undeniably delicious. hehe that's why i love going to Thailand because of their food. We went to the famous floating market. Literally all the food that are sold there are Halal food so you can just easily buy the food there.

On the last day, we headed back to the border and travel back to Malaysia. I felt so tired because we needed to climb a very steep and high staircase while carrying our luggage, because there is no lift or escalator at the border . So guys, if you are planning to go to Hatyai by train, make sure you don't bring heavy or big luggage okay...

There you go my dramatic travelling experience which I call it train to Hatyai just like the movie Train to Busan :p
